Schiehallion Guest House, Braemar, Scotland

Schiehallion House has retained many original features in particular the high ceilings, wooden doors and staircase. There is a large comfortable resident’s lounge which is open all day where you can relax on a cold evening in front of the fire and enjoy a dram. There are board games to occupy a wet evening and a variety of books to browse through. The TV lounge is a cosy room with colour TV and a DVD player. Here we also have a box of children’s toys and books.

Wildlife

Schiehallion is surrounded by lovely old silver birch trees which teem with wildlife. Among our regular visitors are red squirrels feeding on the nuts, pheasants in the garden, tree creepers and woodpeckers on the birch trees. In the evening the owls can be heard in the surrounding trees. Guests are encouraged to explore the garden and spot as many different birds and animals as possible.
